The Astros have placed 22-year old righty swinging catcher Max Stassi on the 7-day disabled list due to a concussion. Stassi has played in 2 games for the Astros so far this year and he is 2 for 6 (.333 avg, .762 OPS) with 1 RBI. The Astros have called up 31-year old righty swinging catcher Cody Clark to replace Stassi as the backup. Clark has played in 46 games in AA+AAA-ball for the Astros this year and he is 32 of 151 (.212 avg, .515 OPS) with 16 runs scored, 1 homer and 13 RBIs. Clark has now played in 645 games in his first 11 years in the minors and he is 504 of 2,040 (.247 avg, .692 OPS) with 282 runs scored, 45 homers, 252 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. This will be Clark’s first shot at the show.
