24-year old lefty starting pitcher Brett Oberholtzer came into this season as the Astros’ #20 prospect according to Baseball America. He pitched in 16 games (all starts) in AAA-ball for the Astros and he was 6-6 with a 4.37 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. Oberholtzer has pitched in 7 games (4 starts) for the Astros and he is 3-1 with a 2.91 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. He has given up 32 hits and 5 walks while whiffing 22 batters in his first 34 innings in the majors, which are impressive numbers. The Astros hope that Oberholtzer keeps up the good work moving forward.
