The Houston Astros have placed 25-year old righty swinging outfielder J.D. Martinez on the 15-day disabled list due to a sprained left wrist. Martinez has played in 78 games for the Astros so far this year and he is 70 for 273 (.256 avg, .672 OPS) with 24 runs scored, 7 homers, 36 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. The Astros have brought up 23-year old switch-hitting outfielder Robbie Grossman to replace Martinez on the active roster. Grossman played in 28 games earlier this year for the Astros and he was 22 of 111 (.198 avg, .553 OPS) with 10 runs scored, 0 homers, 3 RBIs and 2 stolen bases.
