24-year old righty starting pitcher Asher Wojciechowski has pitched in 20 games (17 starts) in AA+AAA-ball for the Astros so far this year and he is 7-5 with 1 save, a 2.75 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP. He has given up only 80 hits and 38 walks while whiffing 96 batters in his first 111 1/3 innings this year, which are pretty impressive numbers. He has now pitched in 74 games (68 starts) in his first four years in the minors and he is 27-19 with 1 save, a 3.46 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP. Wojciechkowski came into this season as the Astros’ #14 prospect according to Baseball America. He was acquired from the Blue Jays last year at the trade deadline when then sent Brandon Lyon, J.A.
