The Houston Astros have signed 29-year old lefty swinging outfielder Josh Reddick to a 4-year, $52 million dollar deal. Reddick played in 115 games for the Dodgers and A’s last year in which he was 112 of 398 (.281 avg, .749 OPS) with 53 runs scored, 10 homers, 37 RBI and 8 stolen bases. Reddick has now played in 786 games in his first 8 years in the show and he is 679 of 2,658 (.255 avg, .747 OPS) with 363 runs scored, 96 homers, 346 RBI and 41 stolen bases. Reddick won a Gold Glove Award back in 2012 for the Oakland A’s. Reddick is a gamer and he will give the Astros a nice lefty power stick for the batting order the next few years! This was a good move for the Astros, as they have really improved from the left side of the plate after signing Reddick as a free agent and dealing for catcher Brian McCann.
