The Houston Astros have called up 32-year old righty swinging Yulieski Gurriel and he will likely play full time at 3B with Alex Bregman moving to LF. Gurriel recently signed a 5-year, $47.5 million dollar deal with the Astros. He has played in 15 games in Rookie+A+AA+AAA-ball for the Astros since signing his contract and he is 14 of 56 (.250 avg, .691 OPS) with 5 runs scored, 2 homers and 14 RBIs. To make room on the roster for Gurriel, the Astros have sent 25-year old righty swinging 1B Tyler White to AAA. White has played in 68 games for the Astros so far this year and he is 44 of 211 (.209 avg, .641 OPS) with 18 runs scored, 7 homers, 23 RBIs and 1 stolen base. White could get another shot with the Astros in September, when rosters expand.
