The Houston Astros have released 22-year old lefty swinging outfielder Danry Vasquez after he was caught on film hitting his girlfriend. Vasquez played in 60 games in AA-ball for the Astros this year and he was 56 of 211 (.265 avg, .696 OPS) with 20 runs scored, 3 homers, 20 RBIs and 8 stolen bases. Vasquez has played in 571 games in his first six years in the minors and he is 602 of 2,166 (.278 avg, .705 OPS) with 263 runs scored, 25 homers, 293 RBIs and 38 stolen bases. Vasquez is going to have a hard time finding another team to give him a shot to resume his career.
