26-year old lefty swinging 1B/3B Brett Wallace has come alive at the plate for the Astros so far in July. He has played in 21 games for the Astros so far this month and he is 20 for 71 (.282 avg, .915 OPS) with 12 runs scored, 5 homers and 13 RBIs. Wallace has now played in 33 games overall this year for the Astros and he is 25 of 115 (.217 avg, .712 OPS) with 16 runs scored, 6 homers and 18 RBIs. Wallace has not been too choosy at the plate so far this year as he has whiffed 42 times while only walking 6 times. The Astros hope that Wallace keeps hitting well as they need all of the help that they can get offensively moving forward.
