In his first seven games, 26-year old righty swinging LF Chris Carter looked lost at the plate. But, in his last six games, Carter is 10 for 24 (.417 avg) with 7 runs scored, 4 homers and 7 RBIs. He has also walked 4 times in his last seven games, showing increased patience at the plate….which is a good thing. Carter has now played in 13 games overall this year and he is 13 for 50 (.260 avg, .867 OPS) with 8 runs scored, 4 homers and 7 RBIs. Carter has whiffed 21 times so far this year, but that is the price the Astros have to pay to get his big time power and it seems like that will be o.k. with it.
