22-year old righty swinging 3B Alex Bregman came into this season as the Houston Astros‘ #3 prospect according to Baseball America. He looked over matched when the Astros first called him up, but he is raking at the plate right now. In his last 25 games, Bregman is 35 of 107 (.327 avg, 1.002 OPS) with 24 runs scored, 7 homers, 25 RBI and 1 stolen base. He has now played in 39 games overall for the Astros this year and he is 43 of 163 (.264 avg, .799 OPS) with 28 runs scored, 7 homers, 27 RBI and 1 stolen base. He is not just looking like the Astros’ 3B of the future…..he is also looking like the 3B of the right now! The Astros need Bregman to keep raking.
