The Astros have released 29-year old righty swinging SS Tyler Greene. Greene played in 39 games for the Astros last year and he was 31 for 126 (.246 avg, .739 OPS) with 18 runs scored, 7 homers, 11 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. He came into spring training as the Astros’ starting SS, but he not only lost his starting job….he lost his roster spot. Greene played in 18 games for the Astros in spring training and he was 7 for 42 (.167 avg, .528 OPS) with 8 runs scored, 0 homers, 0 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. This won’t be much of a loss moving forward for the Astros.
